UPDATED - PRESS RELEASE - HOMICIDE - ANTHONY FISHER - 04/18/2014


UPDATE 10/31/2014

On the evening of October 30th, officers of the Charleston DPS and the MO State Highway Patrol made two arrests in connection with the April 18th murder of Anthony Fisher.  Those arrested are identified as:

Demarcus Owens, 23 of Charleston

And

Rontavious Clark, 17 of Charleston

Owens is currently being held on a warrant charging him with Murder 1st, Robbery 1st, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. There is no bond on his warrant.  Clark is being held on a warrant charging him with Hindering Prosecution. His bond has been set at $100,000 cash only.

On April 18th at about 3:00pm, our agency began receiving 911 calls of shots fired on North Elm Street near Mark Twain Park.  Responding officers found a male gunshot victim inside a vehicle at the intersection of Elm and Lafayette Streets.  The victim was transported to an area medical facility for treatment.  He later died.  The victim has been identified as:

Anthony Fisher, 44 of Charleston

     The Charleston Department of Public Safety is being assisted in the investigation by members of the MO State Highway Patrol and the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department.  An autopsy has been ordered by the Mississippi County Coroner, Terry Parker.  There are no suspects in custody at this time.
