     On the evening of October 3rd, the SEMO Street Crimes Task Force held simultaneous operations in the Cities of Charleston and Sikeston. The task force is comprised of officers from the Cape Girardeau Police Department, Charleston Department of Public Safety, MO State Highway Patrol, Poplar Bluff Police Department and the Sikeston Department of Public Safety.

     At about 7:15pm, officers of the task force served an arrest warrant on Richard Humphrey, 39 of Charleston at 711 State Street. Humphrey’s warrant charged him with possession of methamphetamine. Humphrey was located in the back yard of the residence. During the arrest, a methamphetamine lab was located in a shed.  The SEMO Drug Task Force was contacted to process the illegal lab. 

     Humphrey was jailed on the original warrant. Additional charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia are pending.
