Press Release - Department Receives Radiological Training - 05/08/2013
On Tuesday May 7th, the Charleston Department of Public Safety hosted training provided by the MO Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Health and Human Services. The training, titled Compressed Modular Emergency Response Radiological Transportation Training (CMERTT), provides first responders with the training and resources to deal with radiological incidents that occur along Missouri’s Interstate System. The training consisted of both classroom instruction and practical exercises. Attendees included members of the Charleston DPS, Bertrand Fire Department, Lilburn Fire Department, Scott City Fire Department and the Poplar Bluff Fire Department.
